Thank you all for your voting. We had 83.5% of the membership vote and the result was: Yes to accept.

Your voice has been clear and we will now advise the MOE of the outcome and they will work with the board to sort dates for payments and adjustments. We will advise you of that as soon as we can confirm.

What we have said Yes to:

  • We have accepted changes to PGC wording.

  • A $1500 lump sum payment and adjustments to the Unified Pay Scale. This means that we did not get a chance to negotiate the other aspects of our claim because it was a variation and not a negotiation.

  • The aspects of Cultural leadership, LLN (Leading Literacy & Numeracy) payments and Special School payments were outside the UPS (Unified Pay Scale).

  • We have also accepted an extension of the contract to May 2025.

The negotiation team will negotiate 60 days before the end of the contract and we will be working on our remuneration package as well as the aspects of the claims we did not get. It means that 2024 is focused on any other aspects we wish to negotiate in 2025. We will seek the $6000 Leadership and wellness as we did in 2023 and 2024.
