Specifically for PPCB Members as devised by the MOE in conjunction with Denise Torrey, PPCB Principals Support Officer
Kia ora PPCB e te Whānau
Over the last week or so I have had to learn patience when it comes to the work on sabbaticals!! Those who know me know it’s not one of my strengths!! We are finally there with a process for sabbaticals. Slightly messy but still a process and we will iron out all the kinks next year. I am aware many of you have been waiting for the following information so thank you for your patience!!
As you may already be aware the Primary Sabbatical Awards are set to open on Wednesday 31 May. This is the first year the MoE will be running the Awards through an online system, Salesforce. Unfortunately, it is too late to build the new PPCB form in the system to be open by 31 May. It will be used next year.
The MoE want to make sure the application process includes the changes that have been made to simplify the application form and the reporting. For this year only, the MoE has come up with the following process for our members:
-
PPCB members will apply using the existing form. The MoE is hoping to have something to identify that it is a PPCB application form.
-
For the fields that are no longer required to be completed, members will simply just type PPCB – the MoE will provide a template of sorts to help guide our members through the form.
-
There will be no requirement to submit a report or upload a report to Educational Leaders.
When it comes to assessing the applications PPCB will provide 2 members to be on the panel along with a representative from the MoE.
I hope this helps but please contact me if you need help as I will monitor the process very carefully when it opens.
Nga mihi,
Denise Torrey
